Who We Are
Aging Together's vision is Age-friendly communities that actively engage, support, and value older adults. It's mission: Aging Together through partnerships connects people to communities and resources to improve quality of life as we age.
We are a partnership-driven agency that helps our region address the needs and preferences of the growing older population, assuring residents will have the services and support they need as they age. This partnership is built on an alliance of more than 150 regional organizations and individuals who actively participate in County Teams that work in their communities.
For many older adults, the ability to age in place is a top priority. However, significant challenges stand in the way, including:
- Limited access to transportation
- Access to affordable housing
- Food insecurity
- Barriers to obtaining prescription medications
- Gaps in dementia care services and information
- Shortages in caregiving support
- Social Isolation
The organization's Annual Report and 3-year Strategic Plan can be viewed on the website and are a great way to learn more about the vision and mission of Aging Together.
