Who We Are
Since 1980, Hospice of the Piedmont has been helping families in Virginia through serious illness and death. We're a community-based nonprofit, which means we offer the broadest range of services to the widest number of people possible, no matter what it takes. Volunteers help make this possible.
Our mission is to guide life's final journey with expertise and empathy. We understand that every life is unique and believe that everyone deserves the best care possible. By providing these hospice services in a person's home, families can spend this meaningful time on what really matters.
It's challenging work that takes a strong, passionate, diverse team. Will you join us?
What We Do
Hospice of the Piedmont provides volunteer services to our patients such as companionship, shopping, light housekeeping, yard work, meal prep, caregiver respite, notary services, massage and Reiki therapy, pet therapy and veteran pinning ceremonies. Our volunteers also assist with the Journey's camps, a program intended to help grieving children. We are always looking for volunteers to join our team. We are seeking massage therapists, veterans, pet therapists and home companions. Please submit an application through the website at www.hopva.org to join our team of volunteers. We would love to have you on our team!
