Washington Volunteer Fire & Rescue

Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue is the busiest fire and rescue company in Rappahannock County. We are an all volunteer organization that provides both fire suppression and emergency medical response. We have multiple members certified at high levels who are able to provide advanced life support to critical patients. We are proud of our years of dedicated service and would love to have you in our ranks.

What we do is simple, we are there no matter what. Our volunteers answer the calls from citizens who need our help in a variety of ways. We are able to respond to anything from major commercial structure fires to public services to provide drinking water during storms. Last year our department responded to nearly 600 calls for service in and around Rappahannock County. We are neighbors helping neighbors.
