Interested in Volunteering?
We’re looking some amazing volunteers to help with guided walks and Big Sit support. They are from 7:30am-11am.
Location: Float on Farms (38.348672, -78.116564) Located across from the Inn and Tavern at Meander (2333 N James Madison Hwy, Locust Dale, VA 22948)
Expectations: Time Slots (approximately): 7:30-9 am & 9:30-11 am
A pre-event Zoom call will be held on Thursday before the event to review roles and preparation.
Expectations & What to Bring:
- Volunteers must bring their own binoculars.
- A reusable water bottle
- Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- A folding chair (for Big Sits)
Be sure to dress appropriately for walking in flat fields and outdoor conditions for about one hour. Discover more about the Big Day of Birding in this blog post!
