What: As the Digital Outreach Specialist, you’ll be responsible for telling the story of our events and programs through social media. You’ll create content, provide live event updates, and build engagement across platforms.

When: Work on your own schedule to develop and post content before events, with key involvement during events to provide live coverage.

Where: Remote for content creation, with on-site opportunities to capture live content at events.

What: As the Grants & Resource Development Volunteer, you’ll identify funding opportunities and write grant proposals that tell the story of our work and impact. Your efforts will provide essential resources for our programs.  Opportunities for grant writing can be provided.

When: Flexible hours based on grant deadlines and funding cycles. You’ll also gather stories and updates to include in funding reports.

Where: Mostly remote, with opportunities to meet with community members and attend key events to capture impact stories.

Are you… A survivor of postpartum depression, anxiety or other perinatal mood and anxiety disorder and want to provide help and hope to those going through a similar experience? Personally touched by PMADs through witnessing a love one’s experience? Have professional experience working with perinatal population? Interested in broadening your life experiences? Wanting to give back to your community? We rely extensively on a state-wide network of dedicated volunteers who are the backbone of the organization. Volunteers provide direct support to new mothers, parents and their families experiencing a difficult time in their lives AND provide behind-the-scenes support to PSVa in a variety of administrative duties. All volunteers have a positive impact on the lives of new and expectant mothers, parents and their families. PSVa volunteers provide direct peer and informational support to affected individuals and families, or administrative support to PSVa in fundraising, community education, event planning, or another role. There are volunteer opportunities that align with almost any skill set or interest. We are committed to creating volunteer experiences that serve both Virginia families and PSVa volunteers. Through PSVa, you will find a dedicated, caring community of people who are working together to reduce the impact of perinatal mental health issues on families and communities in Virginia. Establish a connection with the mentee; establish how they are doing right now; gather information; provide support and encouragement; provide resources; and follow up. Child Nutrition, Inc. (CNI) is a private non-profit organization that serves family childcare providers in Virginia.  CNI administers the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) which ensures children are receiving healthy meals and snacks in the family daycare setting.

The Board of Directors, working closely with the Executive Director, is responsible for setting policy, fiscal guidance, and ongoing governance.  It regularly reviews the organization's policies, programs, budgets and operations.

The CNI Board of Directors convene quarterly and currently meetings are virtual.

FTCS relies solely on donations and receives no other funding. Our fundraising team plays a vital role in helping our organization maintain the mission of reducing the feral population and providing loving homes for cats and kittens. 

Fundraising events vary, some are in person and others are virtual. You can choose whether you join us for in person events or help us virtually. We always need people requesting donations from businesses, planning events, etc.

One of our main goals this year is to find an individual that is well organized and can help us keep in touch with those that have volunteered to clean cemeteries or do other activities necessary for the ongoing success of the Foundation.  Most of our founding members are not well versed in the ever-changing technology of online networks.  We need someone that can keep in touch with all our members, letting them know when there is a need.

Training for tracking volunteers through the path site can be provided, however, there will also be other volunteers outside of this system and keeping up with them email addresses. phone numbers and notification will be necessary. The Board is open to suggestions on how to improve on their current practices.

We are looking for volunteers with business, management, and human resources experience to serve as Hire Autism Navigators and help autistic adults refine their resumes and cover letters and prepare for job interviews.

The expected volunteer commitment is 1-2 hours per week for three months. Familiarity with autism is a plus, but it is not a prerequisite. Volunteers must complete our Navigator training and successfully pass a background check before being eligible to begin working with a Hire Autism job seeker. 

The ideal volunteer will have a record of success in their professional career, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to Hire Autism’s mission, and the desire to serve as a positive role model.

Looking for an individual with extensive fundraising knowledge who is interested in volunteering with our organization to create positive cash flow to fund our programs. Tasks will include the below.

This is a unique team that will be working outside the meeting time frames recruiting speakers they feel have a testimony to share of their recovery. Speaker guidelines will be given to the team of recruiters to accurately reach those who are in recovery and want to share their story. Coordinating speakers will require minimal administrative work in the way of scheduling. 

Hours for this opportunity will vary between 2-4 hours a month on average. Hours will include email/phone correspondence or in person/virtual meetings with potential RESTORE speakers. An interview will be done with any and all potential speakers to be sure they fit the guidelines of RESTORE Culpeper's ministry.

This is a special team of individuals that will intercede for our RESTORE Culpeper ministry. We believe that nothing happens apart from prayer and we need believers to come alongside this ministry to pray for all aspects of our entire team; leadership, individual teams, overall direction of RESTORE Culpeper ministry, “alter” prayers and for those attending these weekly meetings.

Hours will vary month to month depending on prayer needs.

Event Planner - This is a great volunteer opportunity to develop project planning skills, for community outreach, and to gain marketing/non-profit experience - You are needed! We appreciate you considering this volunteer opportunity. Volunteers can expect to learn and do the following:


* Plan Serendipity and joint ventures hosted at Serendipity or with local partners

* Plan to host indoor and outdoor shows/events related to first responders, veterans, at risk youth and those with disabilities

* Plan to host indoor and outdoor competitive and non-competitive shows/events for horse trainers, dressage, mounted archery, hunter-jumper and eventing

* Plan community events

* Plan spring and fall clean-ups

* Plan fundraiser dinners, clinics, and socials

Travel Unity, a 501(c)(3) focused on increasing diversity in the world of travel, is seeking people ages 13+ to join its Youth Advisory Council. Applicants from all backgrounds and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply!

Youth Advisory Council members will work with one another and Travel Unity's staff, Board, and Advisors on Travel Unity's programs and mission.
