Volunteer: Fundraising Chair

Jewell Tone's Center for the Arts is looking to add a Fundraising Chair to our Board. We meet every third Tuesday of the month at our Southgate Shopping Plaza location. Our missions is to inspire our community to discover the ability & the passion to create beautiful things. Our focuses include music, art, podcasting, theatre, and outreach to the homeschool community and special needs community. We currently have a theatre club, homeschool chess club, sensory friendly groups, sensory friendly family fun days with local businesses amongst various other outreach efforts. If you would like to join in our mission to create affordable and accessible programming for those underserved within our community, please reach out. 

 

TIME INVOLVEMENT:

1-3 hours per month, with greater time commitment around fundraising initiatives  Board meetings  PREFERRED SKILLS AND PAST EXPERIENCE: Strong interest in fundraising and event planning  Ability to maintain confidentiality  Interpersonal skills  Experience in budget management  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads Fundraising Committee
General: Develop annual fundraising strategy (e.g. - merchandise sales, special events, sponsorship opportunities, etc.), including funding needs for scholarship(s) and other group needs Event Planning: Working with the Special Events Committee, coordinate fundraising events   Finances: Work with Treasurer, Executive Director, and President to ensure funds raised are stewarded appropriately  Act as liaison between Board reporting activity and feedback Support events and programs throughout the year

Volunteer: Homeschool Chess Club Teacher

Jewell Tone's Center for the Arts hosts a Chess Club on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:15 PM at our Southgate Shopping Plaza location. We have gained a lot of interest in the Chess Club and are looking for an experienced Chess player to help lead the club in the advancement of skills as well as playing tournaments. We currently have (20) students are looking to expand.
