Volunteer: Ferret Care and MaintenanceOur animal shelter cares for more than 500 ferrets each year. We typically have between 50-80 ferrets at any given time. The amount of effort to provide care and maintenance for these animals is immense and we need help! We are seeking volunteers to perform various tasks: feeding, cleaning, routine health care, socialization, enrichment, rehabilitation, and more. We also need support at our frequent adoption events. The only prerequisite requirement is that you must love animals. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Nirvana Ridge Ferret Rescue is the only facility in Virginia that unconditionally accepts these animals free of charge and provides them the level of quality food, housing, socialization, physical care, and veterinary care that they deserve. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that these animals are safe, healthy and happy. Our goal is to place all ferrets into loving caring homes. No ferret left behind.
