Jewell Tone's Center for the Arts is looking to add a Fundraising Chair to our Board. We meet every third Tuesday of the month at our Southgate Shopping Plaza location. Our missions is to inspire our community to discover the ability & the passion to create beautiful things. Our focuses include music, art, podcasting, theatre, and outreach to the homeschool community and special needs community. We currently have a theatre club, homeschool chess club, sensory friendly groups, sensory friendly family fun days with local businesses amongst various other outreach efforts. TIME INVOLVEMENT:
- 1-3 hours per month, with greater time commitment around fundraising initiatives
- Board meetings
PREFERRED SKILLS AND PAST EXPERIENCE:
- Strong interest in fundraising and event planning
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Interpersonal skills
- Experience in budget management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads Fundraising Committee
- General: Develop annual fundraising strategy (e.g. - merchandise sales, special events, sponsorship opportunities, etc.), including funding needs for scholarship(s) and other group needs
- Event Planning: Working with the Special Events Committee, coordinate fundraising events
- Finances: Work with Treasurer, Executive Director, and President to ensure funds raised are stewarded appropriately
- Act as liaison between Board reporting activity and feedback
- Support events and programs throughout the year
