Are you passionate about helping others learn, grow, and connect? The Culpeper Literacy Council is looking for caring community members who would like to teach or co-teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult learners right here in Culpeper.
Our learners come from many backgrounds and cultures, and they bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a deep desire to improve their English for work, family, and daily life. No teaching experience is required—just patience, kindness, and a willingness to learn alongside your students. We provide training, curriculum, and ongoing support.
What You’ll Do

Teach or co-teach an adult ESL class (morning or evening options)

Help learners build speaking, listening, reading, and everyday communication skills

Create a welcoming, supportive classroom environment

Use CLC-provided lesson plans, textbooks, and activities

Make a lasting difference in the lives of newcomers and long-term residents
