Volunteer Needs in response to COVID-19

Opportunities are updated by each individual agency based on their current needs. If slots are full at the moment, please check back or you may respond to the"waitlist" and when needs open up, that agency will contact you. We thank you for your service!

In our attempt to help community volunteers find safe ways to provide support during this health crisis, PATH Volunteer Hub has created a page to find critical needs related to the COVID-19.

If you are considering taking part in organization-led volunteer projects during this time, we ask that you observe the guidelines and precautions outlined in our Healthy Volunteers Guidelines listed below:

•Please do not volunteer if you are sick or feeling unwell.

•Please do not volunteer if you have been near someone who is sick.

•Please do not volunteer if you have traveled abroad or to any highly impacted part of the United States.

•Please do not volunteer if you are at higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19.

•Please do not shake hands or have physical contact with anyone if you are attending a volunteer project.

•Please be advised that staff may ask you to leave the volunteer project if you show signs of illness.

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that anyone with symptoms of an acute respiratory illness stay home from work or avoid volunteer activities until they are symptom-free, without the aid of symptom-altering medicines, for 24 hours.

We ask that volunteers do not volunteer if you feel uncomfortable doing so.

Flower/Plants Donations for "thinking of you" bags

Each week during the Covid-19 crisis the Fauquier Senior Center sends home 60 thinking of you bags.

We would love to have flower donations to send home occasionally. Donations can be dropped off at the

loading dock at the Warrenton Community Center, 430 E Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, Va 20186. Please email

rpierce@rrcsb.org if you leave a donation. Thank you for supporting the Fauquier Senior Center.

TOMATOE AND VEGGIE PLANTS ARE VERY WELCOMED.
