At The Fauquier SPCA, you can choose to work with the cats on skills like socializing and grooming., helping kittens get used to human interaction or even fostering kittens in your own home that are too young for adoption.

Working with our dogs is an experience that you will find very rewarding. Whether you spend time walking and exercising with them, help them work on their manner or just provide them love and attention, you are essential to make our dogs temporary stay with us a much more pleasurable.

If you have good people skills and want to help the shelter out than we always need help with special events. These events are fundraisers or adoption events that involve off-site locations and helping to get the word out about the great work the Fauquier SPCA is doing in our community.

No matter which area you pick or if you do a little of them all, you will help to enrich our animals lives. To learn more about each opportunity and get some hands on experience, sign up for the General Volunteer Training Session below that works best with your schedule.  Once the General Volunteer training is complete, you will be able to work independently and on your own schedule, choosing which area of interest you prefer.
