Rawl is so excited to host our 6th Annual Trail Challenge thanks to the Better Together Funding Opportunity. Without the Path Foundation’s contributions, this event surely wouldn’t have been as successful. RAWL is grateful for your continued support throughout the years and look forward to the opportunity to continue this event.
The Trail Challenge has been such a hit in the past that previous attendees have requested its continuance. It’s a fun and engaging activity for dogs and humans alike. This event is open to all counties and it is great to see new faces and watch our community expand every year.
The Trail Challenge takes place on RAWL’s wooded trails decorated with obstacles varying in difficulty. Each dog is scored by a judge at the completion of each obstacle. At the end of the event, scores are tallied, winners are announced, and prizes dispersed. Not interested in the obstacles? Feel free to just walk the trails and enjoy the scenery. Snack and drinks are provided.
Volunteer opportunities for this event Include trail clean up (raking, pruning, etc,) and judging.
There are 8 obstacles and 1-2 judges needed for each (must be 14yr or older). Often times judges are students from local schools
Once again Rawl is requesting $2500 from the Better Together Funding Opportunity to put towards these prizes and expenses. We thank you for the opportunity and your consideration.
