It's a sure sign the holiday season is near -- hearing a bell and seeing a Red Kettle. It's one of the most magical ways to spread cheer and good will over the holidays!s The Salvation Army needs volunteer bell ringers for the Christmas Red Kettle Campaign, which runs through November 15 and December 24 before Christmas.   Funds raised by bell ringers help pay for Salvation Army initiatives in our community all year long. There are hundreds of volunteer time slots available Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Fauquier, Culpeper and Orange counties. Volunteers can schedule two-hour slots on their own or gather a group to adopt a kettle site for a whole day. A group can ring with one or more people at a time for two-hours shifts and cover a full day.  To volunteer to ring the bells at a kettle please click on this link where you can enter your location to find available bellringing shifts near by. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country each year. Once a child or senior adult has been registered and accepted as an Angel their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in your community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. The gifts are distributed to the family to place under their family Christmas tree.

Help cure hunger by volunteering to sponsor a food drive at your school, business, or organization to support The Salvation Army food pantry. The Salvation Army provides valuable meal supplementation while helping those in need in our community maintain their independence and dignity. 

Collect non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, crackers, instant potatoes, pancake mix & syrup, peanut butter & jelly, and canned meat, soup, fruit & vegetables. Signs for food collection boxes are provided.
