What We Do

The Library serves as a community center where all people are welcome, encouraged and supported in the pursuit of information, literacy, technology, culture and lifelong learning. The library system holds over 30,000 materials including books, audiobooks, digital video discs, compact discs, project and activity kits, and musical instruments. The library is also a member of the Blue Ridge Download Consortium, which allows access to thousands of downloadable audio and e-books. In addition to these items, the library offers public Internet access, computer work stations, printing, copying, scanning, fax services, meeting space, and special programming.
