Who We Are
Several years ago, a small group of concerned citizens realized there was a critical gap in available transportation services for the elderly in our community and founded VolTran in order to help fill that gap. VolTran's mission is to provide the transportation necessary to take care of medical and social needs so the older adults, persons with disabilities, and others in serious need can remain independent and enhance their quality of life. Our caring volunteer drivers give their time to ensure the clients we serve can keep their doctors or dentist appointments, get to physical therapy, the grocery store, PT/OT appointments, to food banks, pick up prescriptions.....just to name a few!!
All drivers are vetted and receive training before they can take their first drive. As the need increases to provide rides, the need for more drivers is essential.
