The Piedmont Environmental Council's Roundabout Meadows Community Farm project will be getting off the ground in 2019 in Loudoun County. Starting in the spring, the farm will be producing a variety of vegetables (potatoes, broccoli, squash, etc) in order to provide a consistent supply of fresh produce to area food banks and pantries throughout the growing season. PEC will rely heavily on volunteer help in a wide area of activities such as planting, harvesting, weighing, and packaging of vegetables; as well as educational programs and events.
Please consider one of the volunteer opportunities below and use your time, talents and skills towards this important initiative to help feed the food insecure in Loudoun! The farm is located at the intersection of Rt 15 and Rt 50 at Gilberts Corner. Learn more at pecva.org/farm.
