This year our primary Volunteer Day Project will be renovation of an existing garden area into a Pollinator Bed. The existing space will have deteriorating raised beds removed, garden soil worked and enriched and new native pollinator plants added. We will also be installing several bird houses and a water environment for frogs.
We are combining Volunteer Day with an Earth Day Celebration. Following our morning work, we will enjoy a presentation on recycling by Liz Renaud from Fauquier County Recycling and a presentation on Vermicomposting by John Waldeck, Master Gardener.
Light lunch and snacks provided.
