DESCRIPTION:

To meet the goals for maintaining a healthy forest supported by the Virginia Department of Forestry, & the USDA, NCRS, CAMP CAMELLIA TREE FARM is hosting a Forest Trail Clean up Opportunity on two weekends in April, 2025. Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome to sign up to participate on Saturday, April 19th and Saturday, April 26th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A free lunch will be served and refreshing drinks during the trail walk.

Volunteers will walk the trails in the Loblolly Pine forest and clear the trails of broken branches by moving branches into the woods. Volunteers may take wood home with them for firewood, if they chose to do so. Volunteers will also post "NO TRESPASSING" signs on some trees along the trails and borders with provided materials and supplies.

A FREE,HEALTHY LUNCH will be provided at 12:30 PM when the trail event is completed. Volunteers may request their choice of food prior to the event.
