We are seeking volunteers in support of our annual Arc@thePark event on May 7th at the Bright Spot in Culpeper.
The Arc@thePark is an annual free public event held at a community playground that brings the entire community together, while providing resources for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The annual event features live entertainment, refreshments, and a wide range of family friendly activities. The event will showcase local support organizations, each of which will set up a resource booth with information and activities for event participants. Arc@thePark, like all of The Arc of NCV programs and services, are FREE and open to the public.
We are scheduling two volunteer shifts:
Shift 1: 12:00 - 3:00pm to support set-up and event activities
Shift 2: 2:30 - 5:30pm to support event activities and clean up
In addition to supporting overall event set-up or clean up that could entail tent assembly and helping community partners to set-up or tear-down their resource booths, we will have several activities during the event to support
Volunteers are needed to assist with:
1) Volunteer Lunch and Event Refreshments
2) Stage performances
3) COSA activity tent - Supporting adults with disabilities with craft/social activities
4) Event Check-In and Greeters
5) Interactive activities participant support
6) General Event Floaters to support participants and businesses/organizations
