Join Fauquier Habitat for Humanity for a hands-on day of gardening and construction as we support homeowners on historic Haiti Street!
We’re partnering with the Fauquier County Extension Master Gardeners to provide vegetable and flower seedlings—and we need your help to bring these gardens (and homes) to life.
* Breakfast, water and snacks provided.
Garden & Planting Activities—Help us create thriving home gardens for local families:
- Transport soil (loading bags into wheelbarrows and delivering to homes)
- Deliver vegetable and flower seedlings to homes
- Spread soil, plant seedlings and then water
- Assist with building raised garden beds (if needed)
- Clean up yard debris
Construction Activities—We’ll also be working on recently completed homes:
- Frame and build decks and a front porch
- Lay decking boards
- Dig a trench for drainage
- Install a French drain (grate + gravel)
- Shovel and move gravel
