It's more than just a ride!
- A person who has a doctor or dental appointment
- Someone who needs to go grocery shopping, to the bank, or the social security office.
- A passenger who wants to visit his wife in a nursing home.
- A patient in need of dialysis.
- A man completing post-operative physical therapy to rehabilitate his knee.
- A woman in need of a ride to the Virginia Retina Center to have injections in her eyes to prevent blindness.
These are a few examples of the requests our VolTran volunteer drivers are asked to make. Volunteers can drive as often as they want, but we ask a commitment of at least twice a month. These opportunities will make a huge difference in someone's life and in yours, too!
Please consider volunteering as a driver with VolTran and helping us to meet this growing, critical need in the community. We need help in the following counties: Fauquier, Orange, Madison, Culpeper and Rappahannock.
