Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion. In the time it took me to write this, 1800 people needed a blood transfusion in America! Blood Drives serve an important role in emergencies, and we need your help.

Join the Red Cross, and volunteer as a Blood Donor Ambassador (BDA) today. BDAs facilitate a well-functioning blood drive, they greet donors as they come in, maintain the registration/sign-in table, and ease the experience of new donors. Training and orientation are provided.

(Special needs in Culpeper, Orange, and Fauquier Counties)

• Weekday availability, one shift per month/every other month varying 5 - 6 hours

• Blood drives vary greatly, they may run as early as 8:00 AM or end as late as 7:00 PM

• All volunteers work with the Biomedical team before being scheduled for a blood drive
