Are you an experienced grant writer with a passion for animal welfare? Want to help a grassroots nonprofit secure the funding it needs to grow its impact? The Culpeper Humane Society is looking for a volunteer Grant Writer to join our dedicated team.
What You'll Do:
- Work with the President to develop a funding strategy and identify target grants.
- Search for funding opportunities through organizations like PATH Foundation's database and similar sources.
- Help create and refine compelling narratives for proposals.
- Coordinate with the President and Treasurer to track grant submissions and reporting requirements.
This Role Is Ideal If You:
- Have experience writing successful grant proposals.
- Are detail oriented and understand the importance of deadlines and documentation.
- Want to use your writing and research skills to support a cause you care about.
Time Commitment:
- Estimate: 10-20 hrs. per month
- Most work can be done remotely and on your schedule.
- Occasional onsite meetings may be required.
