Love books? Enjoy meeting new people as well as your friends and neighbors? The Friends of the Fauquier Library Book Cellar is looking for volunteers that can give 3 to 4 hours two or more days a month to work in the Book Cellar, a non-profit used book store located in the basement of the John Barton Payne Building. In addition to assisting our customers with their purchases, the duties include shelving new books and keeping the book shelves neat and organized . All volunteers receive a $1.00 credit per hour of work towards the purchase of books or CDs/DVDs. Snacks are also provided. Volunteering at the Book Cellar is a rewarding way to give back to our community as all proceeds from sales go towards the funding of programs at the Fauquier Public Library. The Book Cellar is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 5:00 (two shifts 10:00-1:30 and 1:30-5:00) and Sundays from 1:30-5:00. You get to choose the shift you want to work.
