Help Rappahannock County Park!

Earn Volunteer hours at Rappahannock County Park, 10 Park Lane (on Rt 211 opposite library).
The Rappahanock County Recreational Facilities Authority (Rapp County Park Board) is working with Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) on the Rappahannock County park Outreach and Sustainability Project. One of the top priorities is removing invasive plants in the Park area.
Come help us launch this volunteer project. Join us on Friday, November 16, 9 am 12 noon, for a park cleanup day. We will:
work on trail maintenance
remove invasive garlic mustard and honeysuckle: (cutting, pulling, collecting and removing)
plant native plants in the new native plant garden with PEC and RappFLOW
BRING, as you are able (we will have some equipment there):
rakes / shovels
pruners
loping shears
hand trowel
WEAR: long pants, hat, gloves
We will have some drinking water available but bring your own in case.
