Brumfiled Elementary is in need of 30 volunteers to help them conduct a poverty simulation experience for their faculty and staff on January 2nd. A poverty simulation is a guided experience that exposes participants to the realities of poverty including the challenges of navigating the complex world of government services and essential service providers. Volunteers will serve as pawn brokers, teachers, doctors, social service workers and employees of other community agencies.
No experience needed. Training will occur from 8:30 - 9:00 prior to the start of the simulation.
