On Friday, May 6, RAWL’s volunteers will gather to develop and create exquisite, one-of-a-kind gift baskets to be displayed and raffled over a two-day fundraising event at Magnolia Vineyards in late May. Each basket will be designed by a volunteer on May 6, utilizing a specific theme with multiple objects provided by RAWL and/or donated by the community. Baskets will be creative, unusual, and bountiful. We will plan
to provide volunteers with gift basket items for the following themes:
• Thank you
• Beachy
• More toys/More fun (for dogs)
• Loss of Beloved Pet / Sympathy
• Alfresco / Outdoor dining
• Gardener
• Little Princess (dog)
• Big Boy (dog)
• Dog beds, with handmade cushions and filled with accessories.
Additionally, on our Volunteer Day, from 10 – 2:30 pm, the volunteers will design and create all signage for the event, including posters acknowledging our generous donors and providing any other information regarding parking, restroom facilities and such.
We also hope to have supplies available for volunteers to create a “photo” opportunity, a painted background for dogs and their escorts to utilize to remember the occasion.
