Cancer Patient Support Kits      Theme: “HELPING US HELP OTHERS”

Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary, Inc. (FHA), will be branded this year as the Fauquier Community Enrichment Alliance, Inc.

It is the desire of FHA to have meaningful engagement between the community and the cancer patients of Fauquier County.  We want to provide support to approximately 50 cancer patients in Fauquier County who are undergoing treatment.

These patients are being treated for a wide variety of cancer diagnoses.  Their treatment plans could be once or twice a week for 4- 6 weeks.  We recognize that this is a difficult time for them and we want to provide support and encouragement.

We will prepare 60 Cancer Patients Support Kits.  We plan to have the kits available at the Fauquier Health Cancer Building and will work with the Virginia Cancer Specialist to distribute the kits, free of charge.

We would like to have 6 to 8 volunteers to help with organizing the items in an assembly line, package the kits, and move them to storage.
