While Serendipity Equine maintains a herd of 25-30 horses, this position does not include direct contact with the horses.
Volunteers will work on a team or individually to provide upkeep and make improvements to the facility in keeping with the volunteers experience and preference
Some possible jobs include:
- Mowing
- Resetting fencing, if it has fallen over or a gap has been created
- Repairing stall doors, fencing, barns, etc.
- Building wooden fences or putting up electric fencing
- Cutting at ground level all weeds and saplings
- Removing heavy growth of berry bushes, vines, and fallen debris
- Hauling by hand to on site debris pile.
- Building lofts, repairing wood ceilings, building tack room and other sheds.
- Removing all dead limbs, trees or other items (including trash, old wire etc)
