HELPING HANDS NEEDED! Looking for a way to work off those holiday calories in advance? As winter draws in we are fixing up our fencing at Rainbow and need volunteers to help us this Sunday, December 10th. Many hands make light work so if you have a couple of hours and some energy to spare, we'd love you to join us! Please contact volunteercoordinator@rainbowriding.org to sign up now!
WHO ARE WE: Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine assisted activities to a variety of students. This approach uses the horse to achieve individual goals. These goals can be physical, cognitive, social, educational, mental health or behavioral. Our programs are highly individualized and our instructors adapt lessons to meet the needs of the student.
Our team helps the riders to achieve their goals while creating a fun experience. The joy of being on a horse provides momentum to accomplish the goals that carry over into life beyond the farm.
Participants come once a week at a designated time. During lessons participants are assisted by up to three volunteers, and each lesson is led by a qualified instructor.
Our instructors are PATH certified. They meet the rigorous standards of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH). To achieve and maintain certification, a PATH instructor must pass an exam and take continuing education courses.
The result is a quality therapeutic program that creates trackable and measurable success!
