The Windmore Foundation for the Arts is seeking a passionate and experienced Visual Arts Program Director to help grow and manage our vibrant arts community. If you have a heart for arts education, love supporting local artists, and are skilled in arts administration, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design & Implementation: Develop and expand visual arts programming that aligns with Windmore’s mission, including workshops, exhibitions, and community outreach.
Budgeting & Planning: Manage budgets for visual arts programming, ensuring fiscal responsibility while delivering high-quality events.
Exhibit Coordination: Plan and run art exhibits, both in our small gallery space and offsite. The gallery hosts a new artist each month, and you'll be responsible for booking artists, curating displays, and organizing installations and removal of exhibits.
Collaboration with Artists & Volunteers: Build relationships with local artists, coordinate volunteer support, and foster a vibrant artistic community.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Windmore Board of Directors, collaborating closely to ensure the growth and sustainability of the visual arts program.
Qualifications:
Experience in arts administration or program management.
Strong skills in budgeting, event planning, and project coordination.
A passion for arts education and a dedication to promoting and supporting local artists.
Ability to work effectively with volunteers and collaborate across teams.
Creative vision and strong organizational skills to manage exhibits and artist bookings.
