Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International serving Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. We believe that building strong and stable homes helps build strong and stable communities. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. With your help, we are working to make that vision a reality.
Habitat provides opportunities for first-time homebuyers to access homeownership in a market that too often excludes low-to-moderate-income households. Our partner families also invest hundreds of hours of labor known as “sweat equity” into building their homes and the homes of others. When completed, Fauquier Habitat sells the homes to these families through an affordable mortgage. The payments go into a revolving fund to build more houses. Partner families are truly vested in their homes–by helping to build them and by taking classes to ensure they are successful homeowners.
