Who We Are

About Hero’s Bridge:
Hero’s Bridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving older veterans, age 65 and older, wherever they live.
We offer distinct programs that meet the most common needs of senior veterans, and also creating opportunities for volunteers of all ages to connect with and support our senior veterans. This approach strengthens both groups, creating a supportive community that enhances quality of life for all involved. In essence, Hero’s Bridge serves as a “bridge” to improved well-being, dignity, and connection for the veterans we honor.
What We Do
We bridge our veterans to a better quality of life through our age-specific and innovative programs. These services are available to our heroes wherever they call home, at no expense to them or their families.
Battle Buddy Program: Bridging volunteers and older veterans through a unique model of care that reduces social isolation and strengthens advocacy. This includes local Battle Buddy visits, bringing companionship and support directly to veterans where they live. Friendly Callers, who provide virtual visits to veterans across the country. Hero Drivers, who assist local veterans with medical appointments and essential errands.
Honor Guard Program: Bridging our veterans to improved mental health by supporting healthy reflection and processing of their service experiences.
Paw Patrol Program: Bridging veterans with animals to help reduce pain, anxiety, depression, and other challenges, while bringing companionship and joy.
Home Front Program: Bridging our older heroes to safe, healthy, and comfortable housing.
