Goals of Position:
The Paw Patrol Volunteer brings comfort, healing, and companionship to aging Veterans through meaningful interactions with friendly or therapy pets. Whether through friendly visits to nursing homes, providing support for pet care, or helping with veterinary appointments, Paw Patrol Volunteers foster joy, reduce loneliness, and advocate for the well-being of both the Veterans and their beloved pets.
Paw Patrol Volunteers bring smiles, stories, and healing moments to older Veterans. Some of whom rarely receive visitors. Whether through laughter during a dog visit or peace of mind from help with pet supplies, Paw Patrol offers more than a service, it offers connection, love, and relief for our community’s Heroes.
Location: Visits take place in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and Veterans' residences. Serice area includes - Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Madison, and Orange counties
