Looking for 1 to 2 part-time Marketing resource volunteers, to help the Fauquier Historical Society to support our marketing and communications strategy. The role would provide opportunities to get involved in varied and interesting aspects of marketing, including campaigns, website administration, stakeholder relations, event planning and social media management, including reels, videos and other event media to communicate to engage diverse audiences.

The skills and needs go hand in hand, as the two can benefit from each other greatly. Skill based volunteering leverages the specialized skills and talents of individuals to strengthen the infrastructure of nonprofits. Some examples include legal services, brand design, accounting & financial planning, HR/recruiting, and web design support. When a business provides these services to a nonprofit, they build leadership, increase employees creativity/problem-solving abilities, as well as build their employer brand.
