We are excited that you would like to volunteer with us.

This opportunity is for a Cashier/Customer service volunteer, to work at the sales counter and on the sales floor to assist customers through both the purchase and donation process. Below are some common tasks that may be performed. 

• Greet customers and answer questions with a smile
• Operate the cash register, including handling cash, check, and credit card transactions
• Answer phone calls
• Record donations

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Willingness to help a diverse customer base
• Self-motivated
• Outgoing personality
• Previous cash handling experience 
• Ability to do light lifting
• Ability to stay on feet for extended period of time
• Willingness to learn and communicate Habitat’s mission to customers
