The Fauquier Habitat for Humanity ReStore is independently owned and operated by our local Habitat for Humanity in Fauquier County. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Much of the staff that supports this effort is volunteer. Below you will see all the ways volunteers can help. Come out and join us!

Donation Pick-up and Processing

	Minimum of 16 hours per month required Shifts: Tues – Fri 10am – 2pm or 2pm - 6pm & Saturday 10am – 1pm or 1pm – 4pm

Description

A ReStore Donation & Sales Processor works with staff to:

Assist with donation drop off and pick-ups- Unloading and staging of items
Thank donors and record their contact information
Inspect, clean, and test incoming donations
Assess market pricing
Package, label, and price incoming donations for sale
Optional: Establish community partnerships to increase quality, donated goods.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skills: Friendly and helpful attitude
Self-motivated
Willingness to help a diverse customer base
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Ability to stay on feet for an extended period of time
Willingness to learn and communicate Habitat’s mission to the public
