We are building a new home on Haiti Street in the town of Warrenton! Because of volunteers like you, entire neighborhoods grow stronger and transform. Through this transformation, families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life.

Hours: Please plan to work the entire shift. A timely arrival is important, as a Habitat representative will provide task instructions & safety guidelines at the beginning of the shift.

Please check your email before your scheduled volunteer day, if there are any changes to our schedule (or canceled build days) we will send notifications through email.

Weather: Unless you hear otherwise from a Habitat staff member, plan to volunteer rain or shine. Habitat supervisors can often adjust work tasks to accommodate for inclement weather.

Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers work on nearly all phases of construction. Please be aware that build schedules are often adjusted. Be sure to check your email prior to the shift for any updates. Thank you in advance for your cooperation & flexibility!

“Release of Liability” Waiver Form: All volunteers are required to submit one completed "Release of Liability" waiver form and the Volunteer Code of conduct form each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). You must complete "& submit a hardcopy (provided at worksite). In addition to the" Release of Liability" form, 16 & 17 year old volunteers must submit a "Release of Liability for Minors" form.

Clothing: Wear comfortable work clothes & proper footwear (work boots or athletic sneakers). No open-toed shoes!

Tools: All necessary tools and safety gear will be provided by FHFH. If preferred, you may bring your own. Please label all personal tools with your name. We suggest volunteers bring their own work gloves, if available.

Lunch & Water: Lunch and Water is provided on site. If you have special dietary restrictions please pack your own lunch.

Parking : There is no parking at the build site. Please park in designated spaces along Alexandria Pike or in designated parking spaces at 98 Alexandria Pike; and walk across Eva Walker Park, or up Haiti Street to the build site.
